Now at Rs.8,499Blackberry Curve 8520 is the entry level smartphone from RIM (Research in Motion). Blackberry 8520 comes with a 2.46 inches TFT display and has a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. It sports a full Qwerty keypad and a touch-sensitive optical trackpad. It runs on Blackberry OS and 512MHz processor. It comes with Wi-Fi but lacks 3G and GPS. It has a 3.5 mm jack for standard stereo headphone. Camera is 2 MP with 5X digital zoom. This handset has dedicated multimedia keys and a one touch mute button which is very handy. Blackberry OS offers full support for Blackberry App World, so that you can download and install Apps as required. Blackberry 8520 comes with 256 MB internal memory and supports external memory of upto 32 GB.
Recently Blackberry has introduced another entry level smart phone in the sub 10k price range. The Blackberry Curve 9220 Price is higher than that of the 8520 but it is expected to come down in coming months.
