Download WordPress 3.0

WordPress version 3.0 is now available for download. WordPress 3.0, codename “Thelonious”, comes with a new lighter interface, contextual help on every screen, a new default theme called Twenty Ten and 1,217 bug fixes and feature enhancements. WordPress 3.0 is the end product of long awaited merge of MU and WordPress. It means now you can run unlimited blogs from the same WordPress installation. Also, for theme developers WordPres now have new APIs that will let them easily implement custom backgrounds, headers, shortlinks, menus, post types, and taxonomies to themes.

New custom menu management feature in WordPress 3.0, allows creation of custom menus combining posts, pages, categories, tags, and links for use in theme menus or widgets. Another interesting feature is bulk updating of themes with an automatic maintenance mode during the process.
